Lilija Grybaite
Lilija Grybaite’s education is a Master in Industrial Engineering and Management. Previously, she is a Bachelor of Sewing Design and Technology. Since April 2010, she is working as Production Engineer & Designer in Trelleborg Engineered Systems Lithuania and currently also participates in the Trelleborg Trainee program.
“This is the first serious and competent job in my career path,” Lilija says. “I also had some experience from summer jobs in my home country as well as in the USA. My biggest career ambition is to have a job which will bring me absolute satisfaction, and at the same time I hope to be valuable to the business.”
Beside the daily work, Lilija is involved in the new product development project which covers design work, product evaluation together with the end user, preparation specifications and documentation. She is also handling the production implementation of a new product line. “My role as project manager in this project is immensely helping me to gain knowledge about the procedures behind starting a new production line. I am learning about the product manufacturing processes, choosing the production equipment, making the investment, payback period and cost calculations. This all is new for me, but together with the great team I am sure the new production line will be start soon and become efficient and profitable”, says Lilija.
The biggest lesson from the trainee program is getting along with multicultural people, especially in work mode.
“Outside work I love singing, dancing, traveling and hanging out with friends. Shopping is also one of my passions,” Lilija says.
