Alessandro Zanderigo

Alessandro Zanderigo’s educational background is a mix of Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Management and Finance. “I got my bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering at Brescia University, in Italy,” he says. He has also spent nine months at the Linköping University in Sweden Erasmus program. After that he attended the Leonardo Da Vinci program in Vienna, Austria, where he wrote his bachelor thesis.
For his Masters studies in Production Engineering and Management, Alessandro went to the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm, Sweden, where he graduated in June 2009. “My work background is linked with my education background; I have worked in Vienna, Stockholm and Paris. However the most relevant job I ever had is the one I am doing now at Trelleborg Marine Systems in Sydney,” Alessandro says.
“My career ambition is to grow as much as I can, doing things I like. My daily tasks imply project management and sales. Besides that I am in charge of a very interesting project: to make a competitor analysis for Trelleborg Marine Systems worldwide. I am currently based in Sydney and during my traineeship I’ll have the chance to live and work in Dubai and Singapore.”
Alessandro's biggest learnings as a trainee is that there is no sense to focus on production if you don’t have customers; where you can add value from production to customers; where Trelleborg is standing compare to the competitors; where the profitable trends of the market are leading Trelleborg; and different ways of doing business in different cultures. In his spare time, he loves travelling, playing golf, skiing, sailing, playing piano and saxophone.
