Buoyancy Modules
AEM Product Group has been manufacturing syntactic foam buoyancy modules for Remotely Operated Vehicles for over 25 years with a track record of over 1,000 modules. During this time, size and complexity of modules has increased significantly. Buoyancy modules of up to 10,000kgs of nett buoyancy are now common place with the average water depth requirement up from 1,000 metres to over 3,000 metres.
Materials
AEM Product Group have unrivalled materials technology and design experience in the ROV market supporting all key operators and vehicle manufacturers. This core competence supports new and existing clients in this developing market. Highly complex buoyancy module configurations can be manufactured using either cross-linked co-polymer foam (600msw or less) or selected from our wide range of Trellsyn syntactic foams (to full ocean depth at 11,000 msw).
Design
Increasing complexity of projects within the busy offshore industry has resulted in the demand for greater design input of suppliers within installations. AEM Product Group, with over two decades of offshore and deep subsea engineering experience, utilise their expert design teams in either simple ‘build to specification’ projects, or increasingly on collaborative design partnerships often achieving industry firsts. Using the latest 3D modelling software, clients are provided with accurate models of the finished shape together with detailed volume, weight and nett buoyancy specifications. This is finally validated during the manufacturing phase following contract award.
