At Trelleborg, diversity is a strength. We actively work to make this visible. Three important dimensions are Age, Ethnicity and Gender.  



A core issue for knowledge-based companies is the ability to recruit young talent. This is the driving force behind Trelleborg’s strategic program for Generation Y employees (born 1980 or later).


A basic rule is that Trelleborg leaders/managers should be recruited locally. This is a very visible trait of all our business units. 


In an engineering environment, the objective of a more even gender distribution on all leadership levels becomes a challenge. Trelleborg has established a goal to increase the percentage of female leaders (levels 4-5) from 2016. Actively seeking female candidates for all leader/manager positions is one of the ways forward.
